Segmental block, natural stone, French drains — solving grading and water management permanently.
Sloped yards, erosion issues, and poor drainage can undermine any outdoor project. We design and install segmental retaining walls, natural stone walls, and French drain systems that solve grading and water management problems while adding visual structure to your landscape.
Retaining wall design is an engineering problem before it's an aesthetic one. Wall height, soil type, surcharge loading (anything above the wall — structures, vehicles, slopes), and drainage conditions all factor into the structural design. Walls over 4 feet typically require an engineered design and permit.
Segmental retaining wall systems (Versa-Lok, Allan Block, Anchor Diamond) use interlocking concrete blocks that are battered back into the hillside and reinforced with geogrid on taller walls. They're durable, relatively fast to install, and available in a range of colors and textures.
French drain systems collect groundwater or surface runoff in perforated pipe surrounded by gravel and filter fabric, and carry it to a daylight outlet, dry well, or storm drain connection. We install French drains along house foundations, at the base of retaining walls, and in low areas of the yard where water pools — solving drainage issues that damage landscapes and foundations.
